The new Ram TRX is no stranger to speed. It has a supercharged 6.2-liter Hellcat V8 engine under the hood that is good for 702 horsepower. We have taken our TRX to many drag racing events, and its acceleration is super impressive. It can easily do a 0-60 MPH run in about 4.5 seconds.
The guys at the BTGDale Youtube channel took a TRX on a lap of the Nurburgring. This legendary track is known for long straightaways and very tight turns. The driver is quickly able to reach the top speed limiter – which is set at 118 MPH (around 190 kph). The top speed is limited due to the all-terrain tires on the stock TRX.
Soon after the brakes begin to overheat. After all the TRX curb weight is between approximately 6,500 – 6,800 lbs depending on optional equipment. This is a lot of weight to haul down into tight turns.
