New Ram TRX trucks are marked up about the same!

2021 ford raptor dealer markup price

The new 3rd-generation 2021 Ford Raptor is now in production and many of these trucks are hitting the dealerships. The new truck is in short supply and very desirable. Unfortunately, this leads to huge dealership markups as we recently found out.

A quick nationwide search shows dozens of new Ford Raptor trucks for sale, and several of them are commanding a $50,000 markup over the Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). It’s clearly labeled on the sales listings. For example, the screenshot above shows a listing for a new Raptor with an MSRP of $83,525. The listing price is $133,525!

The $83K MSRP for this truck suggests that it is likely the one with a 37-inch tire Performance package. Will this store sell this truck with a $50K markup? The market will tell. Many other new Raptor trucks are being listed with markups ranging from $10K to $35K.

Not to be outdone, the new 2021 Ram TRX trucks are still being listed with very high markups as well. For example, the red TRX shown above is listed with a $48,884 markup over the MSRP. Many other new TRX trucks are listed with various markups.

Even if you decide to go for a used Ram TRX, a local owner in our area is selling a TRX Launch Edition with about 2,600 miles on the odometer for $108,500.
