We sent out a call to you to help us create a guide for watching out for new truck dealer mark-ups and good deals. You responded in a big way. Here are some crazy pickup truck mark-ups that you found.

Ram 1500

Carlos R. found a very good deal at Nyle Maxwell CJDR Near Austin, TX. He got $7,000 off MSRP.

Ford Maverick

Here is a new Ford Maverick pickup with a $5,000 mark-up (aka. “market adjustment”) over MSRP. This Maverick is listed at $38,675.


On the other hand, here is good deal – Josh S. says:

I spec’ed out a fully loaded Maverick XLT luxury package and Copilot 360 Hybrid and ordered it. Like you said in the video. When the truck comes in they will honor any rebates or incentives. Starting price is $27,820. Long Lewis Ford of Muscle Shoals Alabama is a very reputable dealer.”


Here is a very significant mark-up on a fully-optioned 2022 Ford Maverick AWD. It’s a $8,995 market value adjustment by Sunland Ford Victorville, California – for a total asking price of $45,895.

Ram TRX

Robert C. is getting a good deal from his dealer (Junek’s in Spearfish, SD) on a 2022 Ram TRX he ordered. It’s a TRX with a $92K MSRP and a sale price of $85K.

Just wanted to let you know that Fred Beans CDJR in Doylestown PA is not going over MSRP on ANYTHING, even TRX or 392 orders.  In fact, they are still offering small discounts on most vehicles.


F.D. finds several new Ram TRX trucks with $25,000 market adjustments. F.D. says:

“Clear Lake Ram in Webster, TX outside of Houston is adding $25K over sticker.”

Chevy Silverado

Don R. says:

“I ordered a Chevy Silverado HD truck MSRP through Earnhardt Chevrolet in Chandler AZ. And I also saw a truck available at the Courtesy Chevrolet in Phoenix, AZ. (See Photos) This one was being sold at MSRP. So in my area, there is a mixed bag. Some dealerships are wanting over MSRP, and some are not.”

Here is an $18,000 markup that LG O. found on a 2022 Ford F-250 Tremor. It takes the price of the F-250 diesel-powered to $97,325. LG says:

I would like you to check out this (deal) on a 2022 Ford F250 Tremor I considered purchasing until I saw the market adjustment sticker in the window at Todd Judy Ford in Charleston, WV.

2022 Nissan Frontier

Ian W. find this $15,000 “Added Mark-Up” on a new Nissan Frontier at a California dealership (Temecula Nissan). This brings the price of this Nissan Frontier to $56,423. Ian says:

“This was a new Nissan Frontier in Temecula, CA. They had 10 Frontiers.”

2021 Toyota Tundra

Take a look at this 2021 Toyota Tundra V8 being sold with a $15,000 markup at a Downey, California dealership at $73,302. Matt B. sent us this pointer.

Ford F-150 Tremor

Here is a new F-150 Tremor with a $1,995 market adjustment and a mysterious $2,995 Nitrofill Tire Protection package. Any ideas what this “Nitrofill” package may include? This F-150 Tremor has an asking price of $74,875. Eric R. sent this to us.

Honda Ridgeline

Aalok sent us this window sticker from Westshore Honda in Tampa, Florida. This fully-optioned 2021 Honda Ridgeline has a $24,995 market adjustment for a total asking price of $72,335.
