Over months of adventures with our massive military truck, we’ve definitely learned a few important lessons.

With the veritable flood of new trucks on the market of every size class, it’s a bit tougher to stick out these days — even if you go the HD route. Not here, though, as you can seriously stick out from the crowd getting something like this 1992 AM General M35A3: a bobbed deuce we’ve affectionately called the ‘General Giant’ (or GG).

From first picking up this truck from our friends at Boyce Equipment in Odgen, Utah to taking on the TFL Mud Hole and a host of other off-road challenges, and even pitching it against the iconic Mercedes-Benz Unimog, we’ve had plenty of opportunities to come to grips with what it’s like owning a decommissioned military truck. It’s definitely not boring.

That said, would we recommend it as a daily driver, impractical as it may be? Well…that discussion is a little more nuanced, and that’s the point of today’s TFLtruck video (below).

Check out our top 11 lessons — yes, we had ten and threw another bonus in there — we learned from having our Bobbed Deuce for over 18 months!
