It’s no secret that the next generation of the popular Chevy Tahoe, Suburban, GMC Yukon, and Cadillac Escalade are coming soon. However, it may not be as soon as we thought. The latest GM fleet order guide shows the 2020 Tahoe and Suburban, and these models appear to be carry-over from 2019. If the 2020 full-size SUVs are a continuation of the current model, then the next generation trucks may well be 2021.
Here are just a couple of screens from the fleet order guide. Thanks to TFLtruck viewer, Tabitha, for bringing this to our attention.
We recently caught these two prototypes testing in Colorado. The first vehicle appears to be a mid-level next generation Chevy Tahoe, while the the second prototype may be a higher trim Chevy Suburban.
GM has officially said that they are working on the next generation full-size SUVs, but we do not know many other details or specs.
We expect the next-gen SUVs to share many components, features, and engines with the new 2019 Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500 trucks.
