Pickup trucks are popular because of their versatility. The all-new Radica Rover truck topper takes it to the next level by offering its light-weight construction, ability to carry heavy loads on top, being spacious on the inside. Check it out!
This story is bought to you by our friends at Radica. Please check them out. Radica offers a selection of truck toppers and campers.
The new Rover topper starts with a welded aluminum frame and finished with an aluminum exterior that you get in a selection of exterior finishes. We put a Rover topper on our new Chevy Silverado HD 2500. This pickup has a large truck bed. It’s 6’10” long. The Rover topper extends a bit over the cab of the truck. It’s fully featured front & rear windows and side doors. The Rad roof rack is built into the structure of the topper. The ceiling is a honeycomb composite that lets light through, but it is strong enough for people to walk on or sit on.
I went to the Radica factory in Denver, Colorado. It’s an impressive facility. They build each truck camper or topper to order. They water test each build for any leaks. I saw them water test our Rover topper.
When we put it on the truck, they weighed the topper with its optional awning. It came in at 363 pounds with everything. When it’s mounted to this Silverado HD Trail Boss off-road truck, the very top of the roof rails measure at 7’10’ off the ground. This truck will fit into a garage with an 8-foot door. These garages are becoming more common.
Nathan and I took it off-road at the TFL Tumbleweed ranch at fast speeds and through the trenches at slow speeds. It’s a tough topper that did not budge.
