Devel 60 6X6 Truck Is a Ford Super Duty in Disguise That Packs Over 700 HP

The Devel 60 6X6 looks absolutely bonkers. Let’s say Hummers, the Range Rovers 6X6 and the Mercedes-Benz G-63 AMG 6X6 isn’t extreme enough for you. Well, if you’re looking for a 6×6 vehicle that is extremely exclusive and costs about $450,000 – maybe the Devel 60 6X6 is what you’re looking for?

Devel Motors (with W Motors) is based in Dubai.

Based on a Ford Super Duty platform, the Devel 60 6X6 has a 6.7-liter V8 turbo-diesel that makes 720 hg and 737 pound-feet of torque (according to suvauthority.com). Devel’s main website now shows a revised horsepower number at 700 horsepower. According to the automaker, it can launch the three-axle rig from 0 to 60 mph in 5.8 seconds. It has governed top speed of 93 mph.

Here is the Devel 60 prototype drag racing a mysterious red sports car (spoiler alert below).

Spoiler: the red sport car is a Mercedes-AMG GT.

While Devel calls the axles “portal axles” and “independant” the early production units look like they have sold rear axles using regular suspension components from the Ford Super Duty and an independent front suspension, once again, it looks like it came from a Super Duty.

This is the same company that, according to them, built a 5,000+ horsepower supercar with a quad-turbo V16 that’s supposed to be capable of 300+ mph.

As they are new to the game, overlooking their dreadfully put-together website, their ideas are exciting and, if they can produce driveable examples the press can sample, the Devel 60 6X6 could be awesome.

Here’s Andre’s version of extreme! (Yep – he bought it!)

One final note: until I see this thing off-road, I (personally) consider it an overpriced toy. I mean, nearly half a million bucks for a vehicle based on a Super Duty? Yea, not too sure about that.
