We now know the 2025 Ram 1500 RHO off-road truck’s government MPG rating. The RHO is powered by a new 3.0L twin-turbo I6 high-output Hurricane engine, but it makes a lot less power than the outgoing Ram TRX supercharged V8. Is better fuel efficiency the saving grace? The actual MPG of the RHO may not matter to most customers, but “Let’s Dig In!” for the sake of detail.

You can order the new 2025 Ram 1500 RHO off-road truck now, and first customers should be getting them within a few weeks.

The 3.0L twin-turbo I6 high-output engine is rated at 540 hp @ 5,700 rpm and 521 lb-ft of torque @ 3,500 rpm. It sends the power to the 35-inch all-terrain tires via an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission. The EPA is rating the truck at 14 MPG city / 16 MPG highway & 15 MPG combined. The combined MPG is significantly higher than that of the 2024 Ram TRX V8.

Now, let’s take a look at how the new RHO efficiency ratings compare to the Ford F-150 Raptor lineup. The new Ram RHO falls just short of the 2024 Ford F-150 Raptor 3.5L high-output EcoBoost V6. The base F-150 Raptor has a better highway and combined ratings by the EPA. If you are curious about the 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500 ZR2 that is available with a 3.0L Duramax turbo-diesel I6 engine. The diesel-powered ZR2 can go far with a smallish fuel tank due to its good 21 MPG combined efficiency.
