We have been wanting to try, own, and use a GFC camper for many years and this is our opportunity. All GFC campers, toppers, or tents are built in the USA (in Belgrade, Montana). They have an aluminum construction that is both strong for off-road use and also light weight. Our 2024 Tacoma GFC weighs about 275 pounds.
GFC has been around since 2017 and the company has a passion for precision engineering. I visited their factory in Montana to see it for myself. Each camper or topper is made to order from raw aluminum materials. We got ours installed on our Tacoma at TRU in Denver Colorado. The install took just over an hour because rubber seals had to be added to our truck’s bed. Four attachment points secure it to the bed. If we wanted to remove it, it’s an easy job. Three or four guys can easily lift this camper by hand.
