Thanks to TFLtruck viewer, Emmett, we get a first look at a 2022 GMC Hummer EV prototype truck in the wild and on the street. GM made an official announcement that they are building prototype trucks and will be testing them in the wild. Here is one of these trucks and it dwarfs everything else on the road.
The GMC Hummer EV is built on GM’s new Ultium all-electric chassis. The Hummer EV is a big vehicle that could actually be classified as a heavy duty truck, although actual curb weight and GVWR have not been released yet. It will carry up to 200 kWh worth of battery capacity. The first edition of the new Hummer EV will be the most optioned and the most expensive model. GMC says it will offer up to 1,000 horsepower from three motors in this 4×4 vehicle. The quickest acceleration times are listed at 3.0 seconds 0-60 MPH. It is equipped with height-adjustable air suspension and four-wheel steering.
We hope to learn more about the new Hummer EV soon and actually get some hands on time with it.
