Will U.S. Get a Ford Ranger Limited? This One Was Spied in Michigan

The U.S-spec Ford Ranger is not on sale yet, although you can start ordering them. The online configurator is available and the 2019 Ranger will be available in three trim levels: XL, XLT, and Lariat. (Take a look at the video below as we configure three Rangers online.)

Ryan E. sends us these images of non-U.S. Ford Ranger in Limited trim that he saw near Ford’s Michigan proving grounds. The front bumper shows that this is a non-U.S. Ford Ranger.

The Limited trim is Ford’s top-of-the-line grade for pickup trucks. Ford is currently offering the Ford F-150 and the Ford Super Duty in this luxurious trim. Why not bring the luxury version of the Ford Ranger as well? Our guess is that additional trims of the new Ranger (King Ranch and/or Limited) will eventually reach American dealerships, but it will be later. Ford is looking for a smooth and straight forward launch of the 2019 Ranger, so it makes sense to limit the trim levels for now.

Also, the fully loaded Ranger Lariat crew cab 4×4 can reach a price over $46,000, according to Ford. It is not the most expensive midsize truck on the market (GMC Canyon Denali turbo-diesel can reach the $50,000 mark), but it is getting far into the pricing of full-size trucks.

Take a look at the pricing and options in the video below.
