Ford has thoroughly updated their engines for the 2018 model year F150 lineup. This includes an all-new 3.3L naturally aspirated V6, which is available in the XL and XLT trims. The theme is to downsize the displacement (the previous base engine was a 3.5L), increase power, and increase efficiency.
The 3.3L V6 is rated at 290 hp and 265 lb-ft of torque. It is the only engine in the 2018 lineup that does not have a 10-speed automatic. The base work truck is still using the 6-speed automatic.
How does this new truck drive?
