American Trucks’ new project dives into a 2021 Ford F-150 Lariat with the 5.0-liter V8, and they want to double the horsepower!
The new AT project, which you can watch on YouTube below, is the newest segment in The Haul. This is the ongoing series that’s sponsored by American Trucks and features products that they sell. Over the years, they’ve featured simple items, like floor mats – all the way up to high-tech suspensions. This new “Stage 1” build will feature Whipple’s all-new W185RF 3.0L Supercharger kit and Corsa Sport Exhaust System.
The goal is to add about 290 horsepower when all is said and done. The stock Ford F-150 with the Coyote V8 makes 400 horsepower. So, this build won’t quite reach the “double the horsepower” proclamation; however, this IS “Stage 1.” In the near future, Stage 2 should prove highly revealing.
In this video, long-time host Justin Dugan explains why he stepped away from the Ford Raptor project and opted for this new challenge. Here’s a hint, it has to do with the Coyote V8 under the hood. Not only that, he goes on to explain that he’s looking to build a more street-oriented truck. One that will kill it at the quarter mile.
Right now, AT features parts for Ram, Ford, and General Motors. They also sell packages to achieve the look, ride, performance enhancement, or added utility you need.
Check out this video and see how much performance these (fairly easy) bolt-on additions add to the F-150!
