Stellantis announces their “FastLane 2030” plan and the compact Ram Rampage is a big part of it. It’s a new compact pickup truck that Ram already sells in South America and some other markets. It’s coming to the USA with production starting in 2028. Here is everything we know so far. Let’s dig in!

It’s a compact unibody pickup truck, and Ram already has a full lineup available elsewhere. The Ford Maverick will finally have a competitor here in the States. Ram offers a Rampage Rebel off-road model and a street-oriented Rampage R/T model among others.

Considering that the Rampage’s tail lights already look like an American flag, why do we have to wait another two years for it to start selling in the U.S.? It has to do with where it’s produced. It’s likely the Rampage you see now in South America will be changed slightly for the U.S. market. It may offer a different selection of powertrains. The Rampage production will be “localized” closer to where it’s sold. This is done in order to work around the Chicken Tax and other tariffs. We are guessing it will be produced in the U.S. or Canada.

The U.S. version of the Rampage will begin production in 2028. We should see early production models in about a year from now. Ram has been testing the current Rampage for a very long time. We saw Rampage prototypes testing in the USA as well. Check out the video below.
