Ford introduces the new 2023 Maverick Tremor, the most off-road-worthy version of its compact pickup truck lineup. It’s based on a Maverick XLT or Lariat model with a 2.0-liter turbocharged I4 engine and an 8-speed automatic transmission. It adds a one-inch suspension lift and a modified front fascia for increased ground clearance (9.4 inches) and a very good approach angle (30.7 degrees).
In the back is a twin-clutch locking differential that is selectable and should help the latest member of Ford’s Tremor family out of many sticky situations. There is orange trim throughout to identify it as a Tremor. There is an orange highlight in the grille, orange tow hooks up front, and an orange highlight in the wheels. The inside sees orange stitching and large Tremor logos.
The complete Tremor package retails at $2,995. The 2023 Ford Maverick Tremor and other models will be orderable next month and production will start later in the fall of 2022.
