Here it is – our first official look at the next-generation 2023 GMC Canyon AT4X! It is confirming the next generation of GMC’s midsize pickup truck, and it is introducing the most off-road focused AT4X brand to the Canyon. GMC recently unveiled a redesigned 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4X, which is now on sale. Now, the all-new 2023 Canyon AT4X is joining the lineup.

The image you see here is the only official image that GMC has shared so far. It hints at the new front end with a bulging front fender that is housing a 17-inch beadlock-capable wheel and a large Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT off-road tire.

This truck appears to have lots of ground clearance, and an integrated rock slider protects the body of the truck and adds to the aggressive appearance. GMC has not confirmed this yet, but we are expecting the 2023 Canyon AT4X to be equipped with Multimatic DSSV spool-valve shocks (similar to the ones on the current Colorado ZR2). We are also expecting the new Canyon to be equipped with a 2.7-liter turbocharged gasoline four-cylinder engine and all the latest technology and interior layout inside.

Here is a look at the GMC Canyon OverlandX concept from last year that previews what we will see with the upcoming 2023 GMC Canyon.
