Video: I Bought The Craziest Russian 4×4 Van Sight Unseen: Was It a Huge Mistake?

Will I be able to start it for the first time?

1992 uaz 3741 4x4 buhanka van

I thought that I would never see it. My UAZ 452 – 3741 “Buhanka” or “Bukhanka” Russian 4×4 van is finally here! I purchased it about six months ago in the Krasnodar region of Russia, and it just arrived last week. This van was originally designed and went on sale in 1965. This one is a 1992 model, and the Buhanka van is still being produced today and can be purchased new today in Russia and some other countries around the world.

This may just be the only UAZ Buhanka van in the United States! It’s a 1 of 1! If you have another titled/registered UAZ Buhanka van, please send me a note at ask@tfltruck.com.

This van is powered by a “mid-ship” 2.4-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine and a 4-speed manual transmission. It rides on two solid axles. It has a 4×4 system with low-range gearing, seating for four, and lots of room inside. In fact, it is way bigger in person than I remember it or how it appears in pictures.

Will I be able to get it started for the first time in Colorado? Check out the video for all the details.
