While the pickup truck sales are still strong, the crazy double-digit growth has slowed down a little in September. Where we saw huge monthly year-over-year growth in previous months, the picture looks a little more calm for September 2013. Only the F-series, Ram, and Frontier showed growth last month. All others saw a market correction with declines in sales from September 2012.
There is not much to worry about as the top five best sellers are still 18.4% and above in year-to-date figures. However, September results gives some question to whether the last quarter of 2013 will finish on a high or bring the sales back in check.

Chevrolet Express showed most strength in September 2013 monthly growth at 34.9%. Mercedes Sprinter and Nissan NV full-size vans saw impressive double-digit improvement. The smaller Nissan NV200 continues to gain momentum, while GMC Savana keeps sliding down. The Ford E-series is still the volume leader with 93,243 so far this year. The Ram ProMaster, Ford Transit, and Chevrolet City Express are coming out for sale starting next calendar year, so this space will get more heated and competitive.
