This particular 2015 Chevy Silverado LTZ is a truck with a relatively unique configuration. It’s an upscale LTZ model with a double-cab and a six-person seating configuration. It’s equipped with the 6.2L V8 engine, the 8-speed automatic transmission, and a 4×4 system. The big eight-cylinder is still good for 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. It features cylinder deactivation and is rated at 15 MPG city, 21 MPG on the highway, and 17 MPG combined.
This Silverado does not stop there. It also has the Max Tralering package and optional towing mirrors. The Max Trailering package includes heavier springs for an increased payload and towing capability. The maximum payload is rated at just over 2,100 pounds and maximum towing is at 11,900 pounds, also thanks to a 3.42 rear axle ratio.
You can also get the Max Trailering package with the 5.3L V8, but why not go all the way for the 6.2-liter? It does cost extra. The big V8 and the 8-speed transmission add $2,495 to the cost. The as-tested price of this truck is $48,655.
