The full-size SUV market is finally showing weakness. The class-leading GM SUVs and many others are seeing a decline in sales in Q2 2026 when compared to last year. We have all the data here. Let’s dig in!
You might be asking why this list does not include some of the German or other manufacturers? Why no Mercedes-Benz GLS or BMW X7 or others? It’s because this list is laser focused on body-on-frame truck-based three-row SUVs. This is all about the “truck-y” SUVs.
In most cases, the full-size SUV segment is immune to large changes in the economy. The fact that the entire segment is down -6.6% this quarter is noteworthy. The GM SUVs are down across the board. The Chevy Tahoe, Chevy Suburban, GMC Yukon, and Cadillac Escalade are all showing declines. The Ford Expedition was down -26.97%.
The bright spots are the Jeep Grand Wagoneer that is now in fourth place behind the Tahoe, Yukon, and the Expedition. The Toyota Sequoia grew sales, but the largest improvements are showing for the Nissan Armada and the Infiniti QX80.
