Rumble Bee is back!
Ram introduces not one, not two, not three, but four new high-performance 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee muscle trucks for the street and the track! Yep, Ram says you should be able to take a Ram Rumble Bee SRT to any race track or road course around the country and hold your own against many sports cars. Here are all the details. Let’s dig in.
Most of us thought that Ram would simply add a lowered suspension and a supercharged 6.2L Hellcat V8 engine to a Ram 1500 crew cab and call it a Rumble Bee. Ram surprises by creating a whole new pickup truck. The new Ram 1500 Rumble Bee has a unique shortened frame, unique suspension geometry, and so much more. The primary objective was to make it look muscular with wide fenders and a low stance. Think of a pit bull staring you down: Even when stationary, it will make you perk up, to say the least.
In turn, here are the four new versions of the Ram Rumble Bee truck on offer:
- Ram Rumble Bee with a 5.7L HEMI V8
- Ram Rumble Bee 392 with a 6.4L HEMI V8
- Ram Rumble Bee 392 Track Pack, with performance upgrades
- Ram Rumble Bee SRT with a TRX-based 6.2L supercharged Hellcat V8
The new Rumble Bee chassis wheelbase is about the same as a Toyota Tacoma crew cab. The wheelbase is 132.3 inches long, which just 0.4 inches longer than that of a Tacoma. On the flip side, all Rumble Bee trucks are 88 inches wide. This is about the same width as the TRX and the RHO off-road pickup trucks. The Rumble Bee wears the same wide front fenders, rear wide bed sides and the same TRX hood.
The Rumble Bee has four doors, not two. It’s a Ram 1500 Quad Cab with shortened rear doors. The bed is 5’7′ long, which is identical to all Ram 1500 pickups with a short bed. In the end, this is a shortened pickup truck which is a little lighter than a standard crew cab.

5.7L 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee
This one is powered by a 5.7L HEMI V8 with a rating of 395 hp and 410 lb-ft of torque. This version of the engine does not have the eTorque mild-hybrid system. It’s mated to an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission and a 3.92-to-1 rear axle ratio. Ram says that this truck will do a 0-60 MPH in 6.1 seconds.
All Rumble Bee trucks are equipped with a 4×4 / AWD transfer case with a tire-smoking RWD mode. The higher performance versions also offer an “E-Spool” selectable locking rear differential.

Ram 1500 Rumble Bee 392
Finally! Ram puts a high-performance 6.4L HEMI V8 under the hood of a Ram 1500. This version of the engine is rated at 470 horsepower and 455 lb-ft of torque. It’s mated to an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission and a 3.92-to-1 rear axle ratio.

Ram 1500 Rumble Bee SRT
The king of this group is the SRT version. This Rumble Bee has a distinct front end that looks mean, but it is there for aerodynamics and cooling. Ram is aiming for a 170 MPH top speed for this new Rumble Bee. The original fastest production truck was the 2004-2006 Ram 1500 SRT10 Viper V10-powered truck. It clocked just over 154 MPH as a production truck top speed.

The lower front grille is hiding massive air ducts that send cooler air to the big 16.1-inch front brake rotors. Large 6-piston Brembo calipers provide the clamping force.
Here are some more details about the Rumble Bee and Rumble Bee 392.
- 5 drive modes: auto, sport, snow, tow, and custom.
