I have had my 2019 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro for about three months and 3,000 miles. Do I regret buying it when I could have had a 2019 Ram 1500 truck for $7,000-$10,000 less? I want to find out by comparing these tree truck side by side and taking them for a test drive. Let’s dig in!
If you have been following TFLtruck for a while, you may know that I have personally owned the following: 2001 Nissan Pathfinder, 2002 Chevy Silverado HD 2500 Duramax V8, 2003 Hummer H2, 2021 Ford F-150 hybrid, and a 2023 Chevy Colorado Trail Boss. I never personally owned a Toyota or a Ram truck. It was about time…
I decided to go with a 2019 Tundra TRD Pro that you see in this video. Did I make the right choice?
Here are two 2019 Ram 1500 trucks I could have bought: a Ram Rebel with around 69,000 miles, and a Ram 1500 Limited with around 91,000 miles. The Ram Rebel has a sale price of just under $36,000, and the Ram Limited luxury truck has a sales price of around $33,000. Whoa! The Tundra TRD Pro I bought just a couple of months ago had a price of around $43,500.
After driving all three pickup trucks, I was drawn to the 2019 Ram 1500 Rebel. It checked a lot of boxes for me, except the exterior color.
In the end, I will keep the Tundra for some time. It will likely have it for 1-2 years before moving on to the next truck. Thank you for reading and watching – as always.
