There is a new pickup truck in town! The INEOS Grenadier Quartermaster pickup truck makes its world debut in England this week. What is it and will it ever make it to the United States? Let’s take a look.
This pickup truck was designed and developed alongside the Grenadier SUV that is already on sale in some European markets. INEOS stretched the frame by about a foot and attached a 61.5-inch pickup bed (5 feet & 1.5 inches long). INEOS Grenadier says that it will carry a standard Euro pallet with ease. It means that it can fit something that is about four feet wide in its bed.
The company states the total payload capacity at 1,675 lbs. The maximum towing capacity is 7,716 lbs. These specifications are on par with the most capable midsize pickup trucks that are currently on sale in the U.S. This new pickup uses the same powertrain and off-road chassis components as the SUV. It’s a 3.0-liter BMW-sources I6 gasoline turbocharged engine that is mated to an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission.
This pickup should be very capable off-road as well, as it has just over 10 inches of ground clearance. Front and rear differential lockers are optional.
We do not have the pricing and precise availability timing yet. All INEOS Grenadier SUVs are currently built in France. The company says that pricing and options for the U.S. and Canadian markets will be released in 2024. Whoa! This pickup truck is slated for our market as well.
Here is my first drive off-road review of the INEOS Grenadier SUV that is coming on sale to the United States soon.
