Blue Origin, a space exploration company, that is led by Jeff Bezos releases a quick video show a test flight of their New Shepard rocket system. It’s a rocket that has a capsule on top that is capable of carrying humans. The test flight took place at the company’s West Texas facility. The booster rocket is shown making a successful powered landing, and the capsule makes its own parachute-assisted landing.

Jeff Bezos and his crew drive a small convoy of pickup trucks into the desert on a dirt road to check out the capsule for themselves. Jeff is driving a Rivian R1T all-electric pickup truck to the landing site. The truck has a BlueOrigin feather logo on it. Jeff Bezos is also a chairman at Amazon, and Amazon made a large investment into Rivian.

The video clip shows a three-truck convoy arriving at the site. The convoy includes two Rivian trucks and a 2nd-gen Ford Raptor.

Rivian is still expected to deliver their first production trucks to customers (other than Jeff Bezos) starting in June 2021. We will report as soon as we learn more about the Rivian truck or SUV deliveries.
