Ram Trucks Continue Record-setting Sales in April 2019, Toyota and Nissan Slow Down (Report)

July 2018 Full-Size Truck Sales: F-Series Keeps Steaming Ahead, While Tundra Sales Slip (Report)
2019 Truck Sales Report – Ram Trucks

Ram Trucks sales continue to improve in a very significant way, as sales of cars continue to go down. The company sold over 49,106 trucks in April 2019. It is a 25% improvement over where they were a year ago. Wide availability of the 2019 Ram 1500, and the arrival of the new 2019 heavy duty truck are feeding the sales.

Will Ram continue the climb and challenge Ford for number one sales position? If this happens, it will take a year or longer to see any significant shift in the sales rank. However, Ram outsold Chevrolet full-size trucks in March/Q1 of 2019.

Ford and General Motors are reporting sales on a quarterly basis, so they are not available for April 2019. The next time we can compare the Ford and GM sales to the rest will be in the beginning of July.

The Toyota Tundra saw a sales slow down in April. Toyota only has the half-ton Tundra truck, while the others report combined sales for their half-ton and heavy truck.

Nissan report the Titan and Titan XD sales together, but the Nissan truck sales also continue to decline, as the company sold 2,489 trucks in April.
