2019 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4 Performance Pack – Off-Road Review (Video)

2019 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4 off-road truck offers an optional 6.2L V8, but the new performance package is rated for additional power and V8 sound. This is the most powerful and most off-road worthy half-ton truck currently available from GM. Let’s take it on a short off-road loop and see how it performs.

The AT4 off-road package is similar to the Silverado Trail Boss. It offers a 2-inch suspension lift, Rancho shocks, skid plates, Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac tires, off-road driving mode, and a hill descent control.

While the AT4 can be had with a 5.3L V8 and an 8-speed automatic transmission. The 6.2L V8 and the 10-speed are available. The big engine is rated at 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque.

The Performance Package can be added to the 6.2L V8 and includes a high-performance air intake and exhaust systems. The performance package retails at $2,150 and it can be ordered from the factory or added at the dealership. GMC rates the power at 435 hp and 469 lb-ft of torque.

The performance package is retailing at $2,150. It’s included in the truck’s warranty, and it can be rolled into the financing. Naturally, you can also go to the aftermarket to get performance enhancing components. A performance intake, exhaust systems and a tuner can be purchased for around $2,000. It can add a significant amount of power, but the other aftermarket parts may affect your warranty.
