The 2019 Ram Sport is a Canada-only trim level that was announced when the new Ram was revealed, but it turns out there’s another trim only for Canadians.
According to a report from 5thgenrams.com, the Ram 1500 SXT is back, bringing a new value package north of the border. The SXT offers Canadians a little more content over the base tradesman model, but not quite as much as the Big Horn.
The SXT model offers a cloth 40/20/40 bench seat in the front, 18-inch aluminum wheels, a chrome appearance package, and a choice of either the 3.6-liter eTorque V6 or a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 without eTorque. Options available on the SXT include the Bed Utility Group, Trailer Tow Group, and Tradesman Group. Four-corner air suspension is available as well along with a limited-slip differential or an electronic locking rear differential.

For technology, a 5.0-inch touchscreen with Uconnect 3 is the only option, though a CD player can be equipped.
For those in the U.S. who like the way the SXT package sounds can get something very similar by choosing a Tradesman with the Level 1 Equipment Group. The biggest difference based on digging around the trucks’ configurator seems to be that the SXT can be had with a HEMI V8 and just rear-wheel drive, whereas in the Tradesman you must get four-wheel drive to get the bigger engine.
Pricing for the SXT will begin at $46,385 CAD for a 3.6-liter equipped Quad Cab 4×2 model.
