TFLtruck received a message from an unnamed source disclosing the power figures for the next generation 2015 Nissan Titan with the 5.0-liter V8 Cummins turbo diesel engine. RPM ranges were not provided, but the source claims the new V8 produces a maximum of 275 hp and a massive 560 lb-ft of torque.
Nissan made a statement back in August of 2013 that estimated the power of the engine at “more than 300 horsepower” and torque at “in the mid-500s (lb-ft)”. This new information confirms the initial toque estimate, but falls a bit short on the horsepower. It’s all right – trucks are mostly about the torque.
Here is a TFLtruck spy video of the Nissan Titan Cummins filling up with diesel.
