General Motors is recalling nearly 22,000 of its 2014 Silverado and Sierra pickup trucks. There is a seat malfunction that could put front seat passengers at risk during a collision. There is no word on any consumer-related complaints as of yet.
The specific malfunction has to do with the seat-back which could move during a rear collision with a 2014 Silverado and Sierra pickup trucks. General Motors is concearned that its more than is deemed safe by federal safety standards.
General Motors will fix the defect free of charge and customers can go to their local Chevrolet or GMC dealership (with a service area) to have the problem remedied. Once again, no reports have been posted regarding 2014 Silverado and Sierra pickup trucks’ seat safety issues. The 2014 Silverado and Sierra recalls were posted last week.
