The midsize pickup truck segment continues to heat as Q3 2022 U.S. sales numbers roll in. While the Toyota Tacoma is still leading the segment by a massive margin and continues to grow, the current Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon make huge sales gains over the last three months. Here are all the details.
Toyota is still selling over 20,000 Tacomas every month in the United States. The 2022 Chevy Colorado nearly doubled sales in Q3 2022 when you compare it against the previous year. The 2022 GMC Canyon sales are also improving. General Motors just recently showed and announced the all-new 2023 Colorado and 2023 Canyon. These will not go on sale until the first half of 2023, but their current models are reaching dealerships in larger numbers.
The Jeep Gladiator slid down in sales just a big last quarter, but the Nissan Frontier and the Honda Ridgeline continue to gain. Honda is making big leaps in sales. Ridgeline sales nearly doubled over the same period a year ago.
