According to sources at 5thgenram.com, the 2021 RAM Rebel TRX was going to be one of the introductions of this June’s 2020 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. This truck is highly anticipated. The show was recently cancelled due to the convention hall being converted into a field hospital by FEMA to handle a possible influx of COVID-19 patients. Detroit has been hit especially hard by the pandemic.
Unfortunately, that also means that FCA’s answer to the Ford Raptor, the TRX won’t be revealed to the world either–at least not live at the show. The supercharged, 6.2-liter Hellcat HEMI-powered Rebel with 700-plus horsepower has been generating a huge amount of interest in the truck world, but it will have to wait.
Also up in the air: Whether or not production of the TRX will stay on schedule for this September. Its Detroit-area manufacturing plant may still be recovering from the effects of the pandemic according to a note from 5thGenRams.com.
