We just bought a new “godzilla” truck! You asked for it, and we did it. We searched high and wide for a brand new 2020 Ford Super Duty, and here is our next project truck.
2020 Ford F-250
We need to buy the next project truck this year to get a tax advantage. Any vehicle used for business that has a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of over 6,000 lbs offers this benefit.
Next, we are looking for a new 2020 Super Duty that is powered by a 7.3-liter “Godzilla” gas V8 engine. This new engine has the most excitement around it. We get many messages about it everyday at (ask@tfltruck.com). While we could choose to purchase of a new Chevy, GMC, or other new trucks – we decided to follow your (the reader) requests and get this Ford.
From the factory, the new 7.3-liter V8 is rated at 430 hp and 475 lb-ft of torque. The big engine is mated to a new 10-speed automatic transmission.
The truck we are able to find is 85 miles away at a dealer in Cheyenne, Wyoming. It’s a crew cab 4×4 XLT trim with an FX4 off-road package. The truck’s exterior color is “Stone Grey”, and it has several options for a total retail price of around $57,000. We are able to get a small discount on it for a total price of $55,000 before taxes.
Project: Super Tremor
Every project has a name, and this 2020 F-250 is named the “Super Tremor”. We are planning to modify this truck in several way to make it just a bit more capable than a factory Tremor truck. We aiming to turn it into a mean heavy duty overland vehicle. Not all modifications are set in stone yet, but this will definitely be one of the most exciting projects we have ever done.
