This is the next generation of a folding soft-top truck bed cover. This type of truck bed topper is something you don’t see very often, but it’s a great alternative for protecting your cargo and having the flexibility to fold it and haul tall items. I was at a Bestop facility in Colorado to learn more about their new Jeep JL Wrangler products, but their new bed topper was also on display.
They have been selling their soft folding bed top for some time, but it’s time to redesign and improve the product. What you see here is the next iteration of what they call the Supertop for Truck. It still has removable side and rear panels, but now you can also roll up the side panels. Also, the folding operation is now a one step motion.
The new truck topper will go on sale by the end 2018. It will be first available for the Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon. Its availability will expand to full-size and heavy duty trucks with a variety of bed lengths.
