The 2026 GMC Hummer EV lineup gets several updates. The new special Carbon Fiber Edition is available for the 3X Truck and 3X SUV vehicles. It’s a special high performance version that turns up the three electric motors to ’11’! The result is a claimed 1,160 horsepower and a 0-60 MPH of just 2.8 seconds. This is truly bonkers because these electric trucks still weigh over 9,000 lbs. Here are some of the other updates. Let’s dig in!
The 2026 Hummer models also get a new off-road maneuverability feature called “King Crab“. This is a new tuning of the active four-wheel steering system that allow the rear wheels to turn quicker than the front. The result is better off-road control and maneuverability around tight turns. We will have to test this feature soon to see exactly what improvements it makes. This feature is activated using the “Mystery” button on the center console.
The King Crab off-road steering feature will also be available for current owners of 2022-2025 GMC Hummer EV trucks and SUVs with an Over-The-Air update. This update is coming later this year.
GMC says the engineers also improved the ride quality with updated suspension control and tuning. The 2026 Hummer EV models will go on sale later this year. Pricing and updated driving range estimates will be communicated closer to the launch date.
