Take a look at these images of a 2025 Ram HD prototype pickup truck. It appears that the Ram heavy-duty Mega Cab will continue through the 2025 refresh. Huge thanks to our viewer for sending these spied images to us.
This prototype has heavy camouflage on the front and the rear fascias, but the cab and many other body panels appear the same as the current 2024 Ram HD trucks. This appears to be another refresh of Ram’s heavy-duty truck lineup, and not an all-new vehicle.
We expect updated powertrain choices under the hood, including a Cummins turbocharged engine that runs on gasoline, CNG, or diesel fuels. It will not be the same engine, but different versions of the 6.7L Cummins engine. This is still a rumor as Ram Trucks has not confirmed anything about the upcoming HD trucks.
We also expect these trucks to have a selection of the ZF 8-speed automatic transmissions. Ram currently used a version of a ZF 8-speed auto for their 6.4L V8 gasolines engines. We expect different versions of this transmission to back up diesel and other variants of these trucks.
Naturally, we expect some updates on the inside that largely follow the updates we have already seen and tested with the 2025 Ram 1500 truck lineup.
