What do we have here? It appears that Instagram user @charlestazegreen spied the all-new 2024 GMC Sierra HD AT4X or 2024 Chevy Silverado HD ZR2 prototypes off-roading in the California desert. Take a look at his Instagram page to watch quick video clips of these prototypes.
These images and video were captured near Plaster City, CA – near the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park.
These are clearly new GM heavy-duty pickup trucks with 8-lug hubs. They are wearing much camouflage. Even the wheels are covered up.

Previous sightings of similar prototypes suggest that these most off-road-worthy HD trucks in GM’s future lineup will be rolling on 35-inch Goodyear Territory MT or AT tires. There are also images that show these HD prototypes with Multimatic’s DSSV spool-valve off-road shocks.
We cannot wait to learn more details about these upcoming off-road beasts.
