TimeRunner spotted this prototype around the Long Beach area of Los Angeles, California. This SUV is wearing heavy camouflage, it has a Texas license plate, and it was closely followed by a Toyota Yaris hatchback with Texas manufacturer plates.
There is little doubt that this is a Toyota or Lexus SUV, but what could it really be? All of the information we have so far suggests that the Lexus LX is the next redesigned TNGA-F vehicle that Toyota will unveil after the 2022 Toyota Tundra. This may just be the first time one of these prototypes has been captured in public.
This prototype has six-lug hubs, relatively large wheels, and Dunlop tires. It’s difficult to judge the size of this SUV from these images, but it appears to be the same size as the new 2022 Toyota Land Cruiser 300-series.
The front of this prototype shows relatively thin and high-mounted headlights and a very large grille. This indeed may be a Lexus SUV – judging by the overall shape of the front-end.
