It’s a sad day, but it’s time for us to sell our 1998 Chevy K1500 4×4 Cheyenne truck. We purchased this truck several months ago, and it has been one of the “movie stars” in our No Payment Needed – To Hell and Back video series. The first episode of this series will be published here and on the TFLtruck Youtube channel this Sunday, May 9, 2021.
1998 Chevy K1500 4×4 – auction listing on TFLbids.com
We purchased this truck for $3,200 and it started out as a very solid 4-wheel-drive truck with little to no rust. It had a somewhat ugly front grille guard and an old truck topper. We then teamed up with RealTruck.com to fix up and upgrade the truck. We took the truck to a master mechanic. We flushed the brake fluid and performed a full inspection to ensure the truck is functional and safe.
We then gave the truck a small 1.5-inch leveling suspension lift, a front-mounted hitch receiver with a removable winch, new all-terrain Toyo Open Country M/T tires, and a heavy-duty aluminum tonneau cover.
It’s not all perfect. The air-conditioner does not currently blow cold, the driver-side seat has a tear in it, and the cassette player has an AUX-tape stuck in it. However, the regular radio works.
