As GM is planning to start the sale of the new 2022 GMC Hummer EV truck near the end of this year, TFLtruck viewer (anonymous) captured these images of the prototype trucks charging up at a public station in Moab, Utah.

Why come to Moab with prototype trucks? GMC is calling the all-new Hummer EV truck and SUV the ultimate off-road capable vehicles. Moab, UT is one of the premier places to test an off-road vehicle and see how it stacks up against the others. Our team just recently got back from Moab and the 2021 Easter Jeep Safari where hundreds of off-road enthusiasts gathered to enjoy the outdoors. Ford brought many upcoming 2021 Broncos and Bronco Sports to Moab for a safari as well. We at TFLstudios go to Moab several times each year to put many trucks and SUVs to the ultimate off-road test.

Anonymous captured two Hummer EV truck prototypes. These trucks do not have all of the production body components or production lights. Many other interior pieces are probably missing as well. However, it’s great to see these vehicles in the natural environment putting their 1,000 horsepower three-motor e4WD system to the test. The Edition 1 version of the truck will also be equipped with height-adjustable suspension and four-wheel-steering.

Which trails will these Hummer prototypes tackle? We will have to wait and see.

Here is a personal walk-around of the new 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV during its recent unveiling.
