Oh yes, the Cheap Jeep series is coming back for season 2, and it’s moving from TFLcar here to TFLtruck. The popular series started with a 2002 Jeep Wrangler TJ that we bought in California. The upcoming season is all about a 1989 Jeep Comanche pickup truck short bed.
It’s very difficult to find a Comanche truck in good shape and original condition. Our Jeep truck has a solid body and a great-looking interior, but is it really sound mechanically? Well, not completely.
This truck has a solid 4.0-liter straight-six engine, but the manual transmission is a whole other story.
In this series, we show you the truck. We fix the problems, and modify it in a very careful and tasteful way to make it cooler and better. We are not going to go crazy with this truck. We are not chopping it or putting 40-inch tall tires underneath.
We found a very good truck in Colorado, and we have big plans for it.
