There is no slowing down of pickup trucks sales in the United States. Manufacturers are seeing sales increases across the board in August 2018.
Ford continues to lead and grow the U.S. full-size truck sales with the F-Series pickups. The company sold 603,926 trucks over the eight months of 2018. If the sales continue at this pace, Ford will sell around 906,000 trucks in 2018. We will have to wait and see how the year progresses.
Ram trucks appears to be firing on all cylinders now as the fully redesigned 2019 Ram 1500 trucks are reaching the dealerships in increased volumes. The V8 eTorque trucks are already being shipped, and the V6 eTorque are just about a month away.
Toyota had a great August with 11,058 Tundras sold, which represents a 7.2% increase over August of last year. The 2019 Tundra TRD Pro will be reaching dealerships a little later this year.
The Nissan Titan also improved sales in a significant way by about 32.4%, but it’s still about the same level as it was last year over the first eight months of the year.
Ram and Nissan full-size truck sales numbers will be added as soon as the data is available.
