This Overland Expo Foundation 2026 Ultimate Build starts with a brand new Nissan Frontier PRO-4X. Dozens of aftermarket companies come together to create this build. The truck will be auctioned off in October 2026 to benefit the Overland Expo Foundation charitable work that help U.S. veterans and public land maintenance initiatives.
Nissan and Nissan Nismo donated the truck and some accessories. The Frontier PRO-4X starts at a price of $48,785 with the optional color and a Premium Package. The truck camper and the suspension upgrades cost approximately $15,000. There are countless other accessories that can add up in price. If you can get a deal on a new Frontier PRO-4X and make most of these modifications, the total price could still hover around $70,000.
For comparison, a new 2026 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro with a towing technology package starts at $67,940. This comparison shows that a new Nissan Frontier presents a great value proposition. The Frontier’s popularity continues to grow. Nissan sold more Frontiers in Q2 2026 than Ford sold Rangers.
Under the hood of this all new Frontiers is a naturally aspirated 3.8L V6 engine with 310 horsepower and 281 lb-ft of torque. It’s mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission.
This build is rolling on a “Titan swap” suspension lift and upgrade that was done by our friends at All Dogs Offroad Coop. We were very curious about how this suspension behaves during day-to-day on-road driving. The answer is: this truck laughs when it sees a speed bump. The suspension is smooth and capable. It’s a pleasure to drive on the road and on the highway. This Frontier has approximately a 2.5-inch lift. The center of gravity is considerably higher than stock when you account for the camper and everything in it. The suspension handles it all with ease.
