The 2021 Honda Ridgeline is coming in a few weeks.
Honda announced Thursday the updated Ridgeline will arrive at dealers February 2. If you missed the debut last October, one of the most notable changes is the front-end styling. Overall, this new design makes the truck look a bit beefier than before, and a new HPD Package takes that one step further. That $2,800 option adds fender flares, bronze wheels and bespoke graphics and badging.
Underneath, though, the 2021 Honda Ridgeline hasn’t changed much from the outgoing model. Front-wheel drive is no longer an option, so all-wheel drive is standard fare, even on the base Sport. Honda’s truck uses the same 3.5-liter naturally-aspirated V6 as before, making 280 horsepower. A 9-speed automatic transmission is also a carryover. This time around, though, the Ridgeline does have a slightly wider track and a modestly updated infotainment system.
Pricing for the base Sport model starts at $37,665. That is a substantial $2,590 bump over the outgoing 2020 model, which comes down to chopping a front-wheel drive option from the lineup. The RTL is next up the ladder, starting at $40,645. The better-equipped RTL-E starts at $43,595. Finally, the 2021 Honda Ridgeline Black Edition tops off the range, with a $45,095 price tag. Even at that point, that MSRP is par for the course among the Ridgeline’s competition. It’s more expensive than the Nissan Frontier, at least until the new model arrives. But, it could come out less than a comparably-equipped Ranger, Gladiator or Tacoma (off-road kit notwithstanding) depending on which options you prefer.
