Which full-size SUV would you go for? Would it be a Lincoln Navigator with maximum luxury and comfort? Would it be a Dodge Durango SRT with maximum speed and performance? Or would it be the GMG Yukon XL Denali with maximum space and truck-like capability? This is precisely what we wanted to find out. Here goes!
Lincoln Navigator
The all-new 2018 Navigator comes to market with new classic American style, luxury, and power. Under the hood is a high-output 3.5L EcoBoost V6 with 450 hp and 510 lb-ft of torque and a 10-speed automatic transmission. This is a quick SUV, but it is missing the V8 sound.
There is no denying it – the new Navigator shines with a unique and very luxurious interior. 30-way adjustable front seats and enough leather to wrap an entire house.
GMC Yukon Denali
The Yukon Denali has been around for a while, but this Yukon XL here has the Denali Ultimate package and GM’s version of the 10-speed automatic transmission. Under the hood is the very familiar 6.2L V8 with 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque.
GM full-size SUVs are still the best sellers, but the design and style are getting a little outdates when compared to the new Navigator. Still, it’s difficult to beat the Yukon on interior storage and it’s truck-like steady towing performance.
Dodge Durango SRT
The Durango SRT is quiet a bit smaller than the other two, but it still offers three-row seating (6-person in the case of the SRT). It’s the manliest of these three with flashy style and a giant 6.4L HEMI V8 under the hood. The engine produces 475 hp and 470 lb-ft and it’s backed up by an 8-speed automatic.
The SRT Durango has the best V8 sound, and it’s simply the quickest accelerating SUV among these as we found out in a recent drag race.
