Stellantis and Ram are running the next #DriveForDesign competition. The company is opening its doors to invite young creative minds to submit their sketches and drawings of future vehicles. This is a great way for young designers to make themselves known. Stellantis has done many of these over the years, and they are now expending the program to include even younger future designers with Drive For Design Junior.
The main Drive For Design is open for students who are in 10th-12th grades. The Drive Ford Design Junior program is open for kindergarten through 9th grades.
This year’s theme is “Design the Future of Fast.” It asks students to design a next‑generation SRT vehicles that would fit within these brands: Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep or Ram. The goal is to show what fast, powerful and bold could look like in the future.
This is a real opportunity to find your calling. The competition is driven by Mark Trostle, the vice president of Ram Truck, Mopar and SRT exterior design. Mark was a winner of an early version of the competition as a high school student and later went on to lead the SRT design team. How cool is that!
Here are some of the Ram truck sketches from a previous competition.
