Watch out! Winnebago is entering the market of large 4×4 adventure trucks with this all-new 2027 Winnebago ARKA that is built on a Ram HD 5500 4×4 chassis. It has many innovative features. Let’s take it for a first off-road drive and dig into all the details!

Winnebago calls the new ARKA an all-season camper. You can use it down to -10F in the winter and up to 120F in the summer. The cold performance is accomplished thanks to heated water tanks, a heater house floor, and great insulation.

It’s an off-the-grid camper. They say you can live in the ARKA for up to 14 days. It has provisions to expand its solar array. It has at least two lithium-ion battery options. The entire house runs on a 48-volt architecture. It does not have any gas/diesel electricity generator. The power comes from either the solar array or the main 6.7L Cummins turbo-diesel I6 engine that’s power the Ram truck. This vehicle has three alternators to provide plenty of power. It has a 60-gallon fresh water capacity and 40 gallon grey water capacity.

The back of the house opens with barn-style doors to reveal a garage space and let the outside in. The ARKA has an innovative 20Z floor plan where the bathroom and shower space is also a walkthrough area to get to the main bedroom in the front. No space is wasted.

The Cummins engine provides enough power to accelerate the ARKA with confidence (360 hp and 800 lb-ft of torque). It can tow up to 15,000 pounds when called upon.

Please join me in the video below as I flex it through our TFL Tumbleweed trenches off-road course. I drive up and down Andre’s Pit. I crawl over some rocks and logs. I also shake it up on our gravel two-track trail.

The 2027 ARKA has a starting price of $331,905. This makes it significantly less expensive than many adventure vehicles in this class.
