The newly appointed Stellantis CEO, Antonio Filosa, announces the upcoming V8-powered Ram TRX for the North American market at today’s “First Half 2025 Results” press conference. Here’s everything we know so far. Let’s dig in.

Stellantis had its world-wide earnings call on July 29th, 2025. During the Q&A section of the presentation – Antonia Filosa was referring to the higher margin profitable products in North America and he stated: “For instance, the V8 engines on versions such as the Ram 1500 TRX.

This is a pretty clear statement and a confirmation that a V8-powered Ram TRX is coming back into the lineup. Ram already announced the upcoming 2026 Ram 1500 trucks with the 5.7L HEMI V8 eTorque powertrain. These trucks are returning with the 395 hp and 410 lb-ft of torque V8 engine. Ram and Stellantis say that over 10,000 V8-powered 2026 pickup trucks were ordered within 24 hours of its initial announcement in the U.S.

When the 2024 Ram TRX was being discontinued, Ram’s CEO, Tim Kuniskis, stated that the TRX name is not being thrown away. It’s being placed on a shelf or paused. Now, we see that the high-performance truck is coming back.

We currently do not have any additional specifications for the upcoming 2026 Ram TRX, but we imagine that the supercharged 6.2L HEMI V8 is making its return. About two months ago, we wrote that the 2026 Dodge Durango Hellcat is officially coming with its 710 HP supercharged V8 engine. This points to the fact that a 702 horsepower version of the engine will return to the TRX as well.

While we all want more power from new high-performance trucks, it is unlikely that the 2026 Ram TRX will receive a higher horsepower “Red Eye” or “Demon” version of the engine. It will likely return with 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque.

Why does the TRX’s Hellcat V8 engine have less power than the one in the Durango? It’s because the crew cab Ram 1500 pickup truck is larger and longer. As such, the exhaust system is longer and it accounts for this horsepower difference.

What about the 2026 Ram TRX pricing? Well, the 2026 Ram 1500 RHO truck maintains its original price of $69,995 + $2,095 destination. The 2026 RHO starts at $72,090.

The 2025 Ford F-150 Raptor V6 TT starts at $81,200. The 2025 Ford F-150 Raptor R supercharged V8 starts at $113,125.

Ram has not announced pricing for the 2026 Ram TRX, but we imagine the TRX’s starting price will be aggressive at around $92,000 after destination charges. With some technology and luxury options, the new TRX’s price will likely go beyond the $100,000 mark. We will have to wait and see.

Precise timing for the 2026 Ram TRX launch are still unofficial. Our friends at MoparInsiders say that their sources ping the Ram TRX production start in January of 2026 at the Sterling Heights Assembly Plant in Michigan.
