Can the new 2024 Ford Ranger Raptor beat its bigger brother (the Ford F-150 Raptor) in a straight-up drag race? Let’s find out!
The F-150 Raptor received a 3.5L twin-turbo V6 H.O. engine several years ago for the 2017 model year. This engine has been updated slightly since then, but it’s still rated at 450 hp and 510 lb-ft of torque.
The all-new Ranger Raptor has a 3.0L twin-turbo V6 with 405 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque. Both of these trucks utilize a 10-speed automatic transmission, but which one is quicker? We need to know more. How much do they weigh and what about axle ratios?

The Ranger has significantly less torque and power, but it weighs about 650 lbs less than the big F-150 Raptor with its 37-inch all-terrain tires. This will be very close!
Join Alex and Tommy in this drag race. They also compare the new Ranger Raptor to a new 2024 Ranger FX4 with a 2.3L turbocharged I4 engine. The results are very close, especially during the 30 mph rolling-start drag race.
Spoiler Alert: the big brother (F-150 Raptor) wins.
