News: First Production Tesla Cybertruck Is Shown to Announce the Start of the Production Line – Ford F-150 Lightning Lowers Its Starting Price by Nearly $10K

2024 tesla cybertruck

Take a look. Tesla announces the “first” Cybertruck that was built at their Giga factory near Austin, Texas. While this is the “first Cybertruck”, it’s not entirely clear if this is the first production truck or if it’s a pre-production prototype. Nonetheless, this is an important milestone as many Cybertruck reservation holders continue to wait for their truck nearly four years after it was announced.

If you zoom in, you may be able to see large side mirrors on this truck. This is one indication that it’s getting close to a production model. The original Cybertruck concept did not have side mirrors or windshield wipers. If you look closely you may also see that the passenger-side front door does not exactly match the rear door. Tesla is not known for precise panel gaps on their previous electric cars. Seeing this body panel misalignment is not very surprising, but you would think the first pickup they use to announce the start of production would be more precise.

Stay tuned for more news about the upcoming Tesla Cybertruck. Will the first customers receive theirs this year as Elon Musk promised a few months ago? We will have to wait several more months to find out for sure.
