The new Super Duty has four distinct V8 engine options: two gasoline V8s and two turbo-diesel V8s. I have an opportunity to visit with the powertrain engineers and figure out what makes these engines tick.
- 6.8L gas V8: 405 hp & 430 lb-ft of torque
- 7.3L gas V8: 430 hp & 485 lb-ft of torque
- 6.7L diesel V8: 475 hp & 1,050 lb-ft of torque
- 6.7L diesel HO V8: 500 hp & 1,200 lb-ft of torque
